JON Venables, one of the killers of British toddler James Bulger, has been granted parole after being thrown back into jail for child pornography offences.

Venables and Robert Thompson were only 10 when they killed James Bulger in 1993. Such was the public outrage at the killing that after their release from jail in 2001 they were given secret identities protected by a court order for their own safety. Venables, now in his 30s, had his parole revoked in 2010 and was jailed for two years after admitting downloading and distributing indecent images of children. James's mother Denise Fergus tweeted in response: "Venables is getting released. Just don't believe what I've got to go through again".
