SHE had all four judges slamming their buzzers within seconds of each other, but Tasha Amoroso already felt like a winner the moment she stepped on The Voice stage.
The Melburnian retail assistant wasn't just singing to make it past the Channel Nine show's blind auditions — she was proving to herself a decade-long battle with bulimia wouldn't stop her chasing her musical dreams.

WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM: Idol turned Voice contestant's 10-year grudge
The eating disorder had taken a physical consequence on her vocal potential, the 25-year-old said.
"I'm really proud of myself, no matter what happens," she said before walking onstage in tonight's episode.
"I've always been really insecure.
"(But) I see the light now and I want to be happy."
It was a bonus, then, that her sweet, country take on the Lumineers' Ho Hey had the crowd clapping along and the judges whacking their buttons.
After all four turned within moments of each other, Amoroso bowed gratefully before opting for will.i.am because she wanted to be pushed out of her comfort zone.

WILL.I.AM: The weirdest one-liners ever
Clearly thrilled, the Black Eyed Peas performer yodelled in glee at her choice.
But fellow Melbourne local, Luna Envy, wasn't so lucky. Brought up in a Catholic household, the 21-year-old rocked a distinctive goth look with jet-black hair and eyebrows pencilled onto her alabaster skin.
She said she wanted to give the reality singing show a shot to make her mum proud — something she hasn't felt since her style transformation.
"I know I've disappointed her," Envy said, voice cracking.
While she didn't get any chairs to turn with her rendition of My Immortal, her mum's begging from the green room suggested mission accomplished.

BEST STRATEGIC FLIRTING: He gave up an uninspiring office job to move into an aluminium shack out the back of his parents' home, but John Lingard's fortunes improved when none other than Kylie Minogue turned on a charm offensive to win him. The 26-year-old got the Spinning Around singer giggling like a schoolgirl in a bid to score him after his performance of catchy tune, Riptide. It worked. After escorting him offstage — stroking and complimenting his shirt, no less — the pop princess admitted she'd used her strategic, feminine advantage. "I may have batted my eyelids a little more rapidly than usual," she said.
BEST SUGGESTIVE SONG CHOICE: Annabelle Eve's version of Katy Perry's The One That The Got Away was spot on — if the judges hadn't turned, they might've though the throaty vocals belonged to Miss Perry herself. Singing for her brother, who doctors incorrectly predicted would never be able to walk and talk when he was born, the 20-year-old also picked a pretty good title to psychologically manipulate the judges. It worked for Kylie and Joel, with Eve eventually choosing the Good Charlotte rocker over his coaching rival.

MOST SUPPORTIVE COLLEAGUES: South Australian pharmacist Peter White chose a tricky song — Temper Trap's Sweet Disposition — and overcame early nerves to score a spot on the coveted Team Ricky. But it was his admission he hums at work, largely to the annoyance of his colleagues, that suggested he might have a future in taking criticism well. Kind of. "Sometimes it's pretty annoying for people, but they've learnt to tolerate it," he said.
