FORMER Playboy playmate Cassandra Lynn Hensley has been found dead in a friend's bathtub after a suspected drug overdose.

Paramedics couldn't revive the 34-year-old after her friend discovered her floating in the tub at the Los Angeles home on Wednesday.

Police are investigating the young woman's tragic death and said no specific drugs have been identified, Daily Mail reports.

Ms Hensley was Playboy's Miss February in 2006 while she was living at the famed Playboy Mansion.

According to her Facebook account, she was living in northern Virginia but was visiting a friend in LA this week.

The blonde bombshell was still an active model, maintaining a website, several social media feeds and was most recently named 'Angel of the Month' by Philadelphia's Metropolis Nights magazine.

'Yes, there is life after Playboy,' the Utah-native told the magazine.

'I have been a part of many great experiences: travel shows, magazine covers, and of course giving advice to young impressionable girls who think they need to act a certain way for a chance to be a model (classy not slutty).'
