ONE housemate was such a prankster he once blocked his mate's car in the driveway with cement.
So what do you do when said prankster leaves on a 20-day trip to the Philippines? Fill his room with popcorn.
There's a prank war going on in one Victorian household - and two enterprising mates, Adam Wickes, 27, and Bryden "Brian" McFarlane, 23, can now proudly say they've got the upper hand.
In a delicious act of revenge, the two men, from Epsom, near Bendigo, spent 30 hours and $650 to fill 23-year-old Ben Chandler's room with popcorn.
"During the time we were doing it, we were actually starting to think it was a bit of a prank on ourselves," Mr Wilkes said, as it required so much time and effort.
But Mr Chandler's incredulous reaction was worth it. "You covered my room in popcorn?", he cried, before taking a swim in the foodstuff.
The boys' wider circle of friends rallied around the prank, with Mr Wickes saying about 30 to 40 people had donated time and money to the cause, which involved seven popcorn machines, after they placed a call for help on Facebook.
'Popcorning' seems to be the new trend in prankery, with a teammate of Australian basketball whiz Andrew Bogut filling another player's car with popcorn.

Some recent pranks have made headlines for more sinister reasons. A US man was taken into police custody last month after repeatedly beating his roommate for drawing a penis on his left cheek while he was passed out drunk.
Mr Chandler's housemates, however, were courteous enough to cover his belongings in plastic.
Mr Chandler has masterminded several pranks before, once covering his housemate's ensuite with foil. He admitted today he may have deserved the popcorning.
But Adam and Brian need to keep on their toes. "I've got to think up something better," he said.
