POLICE searching for missing Bristol teenager Becky Watts have found body parts at a property near her family home.
Detective Supt Mike Courtiour said police were tipped off on Monday night that the 16-year-old had been cut up, the Guardian reports.
The body parts were found a property in Barton Court, Barton Hill on Tuesday morning.
Police arrested four men and one woman on suspicion of assisting an offender, as a 28-year-old man and 21-year-old woman remain in custody on suspicion of kidnap and murder.
The body parts have yet to be formally identified.
News of the shocking discovery has devastated Becky's family, who reported her missing about 4pm on February 20.
"We are at an utter loss to understand why anyone would want to hurt our beautiful Becky in such a brutal way," mum Tania, grandmother Pat and brother Daniel Watts said in a statement.
"We are grateful to the police for all they have done and are continuing to do in this investigation.
"Whilst there are people in custody, none of whom are connected to the Watts family, we will not be making any further comment and we ask that our privacy is respected at this horrific time."
Becky had left home with her phone, laptop and tablet computer about 11.15am on February 19 but didn't tell friends or family where she was going or take extra clothing.
Avon and Somerset Police said six search teams were hunting for Becky, with three homes, a lake and woodland searched in the investigation, BBC reports. Her Crown Hill, St George, was one of the homes searched.
Police are now looking for a Black Vauxhall Zafira (reg HY06 HYA) connected to the investigation.

Becky's uncle Sam Galsworthy said over the weekend no-one on her father's side of the family were connected to the disappearance.
"We want to make it absolutely clear that no member of Darren's side of the family are implicated in any way," he told ITV News.
"Every family member who was part of our search for Rebecca still remains with us. We are aware that this is an ongoing investigation and cannot say any more."

Six days after she was reported missing, detectives said there was "nothing to suggest" Becky had come to harm.
Following specialist open water searches and the arrest of two people, police announced on March 2 they were treating Becky's disappearance as a murder investigation.
A social media campaign, using the hashtag #FindBecky, has gained thousands of hits.
