THE mother of the "world's most beautiful girl" is defending the photos of Kristina Pimenova, which many have deemed "provocative."

Kristina Pimenova, nine, is a child supermodel dubbed the "most beautiful girl in the world." Her mother, Glikeriya Pimenova who posted photos of the girl wearing "hot pants" and "short shorts" on Instagram and Facebook, which triggered a plethora of negative comments, was accused of sexualising her daughter.

Mrs Pimenova runs and moderates the social media accounts of 9-year-old daughter Kristina who has become a worldwide sensation, has hit back in an interview with Mail Online saying, "I do not accept those accusations about sexualisation of my child".

"You must think like a paedophile in order to see something sexual in these pictures, so it is time for you to see a doctor,"

"I am certain in my mind all her photographs are absolutely innocent. I have never asked her to take this or that pose, and in fact I must say she does not especially like it when I am photographing her, so I do it quickly and when she doesn't notice", she said

Kristina has been featured in modelling advertisements for Vogue, Armani, Benetton, and Cavalli. Mrs Glikeriya maintains that her daughter is simply attracting a lot of attention and that unfortunately, some of that attention is negative.

After the cold reception in her Russian home, Glikeriya Pimenova went online and found a modelling agency for her daughter. Just before her fourth birthday, Kristina Pimenova had her first photo shoot, setting the wheels in motion for the young girl's modelling career that "exploded" in both Russia and around the globe, according to the mother.

Kristina Pimenova currently has more than 2.1 million Facebook followers. Glikeriya Pimenova also said that the poses of her daughter in short shorts did not garner any negative comments until they were highlighted by the "Western media." She added, "Why would anybody be unhappy about these shorts? For God's sake, what else would a child wear in the summer when she is playing badminton? I suggest they sue Robert Cavalli Junior and Mango Kids for making wicked clothes."

Kristina's mother said her daughter does three to four photo session per month, the sessions often take place during a single day. The "most beautiful girl in the world" reportedly considers the experience a fun adventure and a break from her school and gymnastics training routine. According to Glikeriya, the young supermodel goes to school and then to four hours of gymnastics training six days per week.
