Seth Rogen and James Franco have reportedly cancelled any upcoming promotional appearances for "The Interview" following threatening statements from the Sony Pictures hackers.

Sony executives have again taken aim at Angelina Jolie — this time cutting her out of an email exchange to mock her behind her back.

The latest leak involves emails between Angelina Jolie, Sony co-chair Amy Pascal and producer Scott Rudin about Jolie's planned remake of Elizabeth Taylor classic, Cleopatra.

In the exchange, Rudin cut Jolie out of the thread to tell Pascal that Jolie was "seriously out of her mind".

Rudin had described Jolie as "a minimally talented spoiled brat" in a previously hacked email.

According to the emails, published on Gawker,the trio discussed whether Jolie should shave her head to play Cleopatra (the Egyptian queen shaved her head and wore a wig to avoid lice).

Rudin, Pascal and Jolie considered whether Jolie should be bald for the film's big sex scenes.

Jolie wrote: "The one thought I would ask you both is about her 'bald'. I think that made sense in earlier drafts but if we are saying every time she's in bed she has no hair or a shaved head it changes the sensuality. I wonder if we should keep it out and discuss as an idea with the director. But I worry we could scare off a director."

Rudin replied: "First I thought bald but then I was sitting at home during the night and I couldn't sleep because of it so now I think shaved; Or possibly a fade like Kid 'n Play. Maybe shaved for Alexandria, bald for Rome? And then curly tendrils for the asp? What do you think?"

Pascal liked the idea of the perm.

But then Rudin cut Jolie out of the thread to say to Pascal, "Kill me now. Immediately."

In the leaked email, the studio executives considered filming a Shakespeare version of Antony and Cleopatra with Jolie in the lead.

Rudin said: "We ought to make this with her and [Michael] Fassbender or [Tom] Hardy or [Benedict] Cumberbatch and go home."

Jolie doesn't agree, saying the script is tight and should go ahead.

That's when Rudin again cuts Jolie out of the conversation, saying to Pascal: "She's seriously out of her mind."

When Pascal said she was willing to arrange a meeting between the three of them, Rudin replied: "Nooooooo noooooo noooooo please! Not a meeting!"

Earlier, Rudin described Jolie as a "minimally talented spoiled brat", for which he apologised.

"Private emails between friends and colleagues written in haste and without much thought or sensitivity, even when the content of them is meant to be in jest, can result in offence where none was intended," he said.
