AUSTRALIA is in a world of trouble in the first Test at Dubai Sports Stadium despite a triple-treat ton that catapulted David Warner into the company of Don Bradman.
Warner's third-straight century was overshadowed as Australia capitulated for 303 in its first innings, unhinged by debutant leg-spinner Yasir Shah (3-66).
Pakistan enjoy a lead of lead of 189 and control of the series opener on a pitch that will be difficult to score on entering day four. Openers Azhar Ali (16) and Ahmed Shehzad (22) will resume at 0-38.

WARNER JOINS GILLY IN HAT-TRICK CLUB
David Warner has scored a fine century for Australia in the First Test in Dubai, and his celebration would have impressed Pakistan's Sarfraz Ahmed
Australia has won once batting second under Darren Lehmann's reign – against England in Melbourne last year – and will have to move heaven and earth to recover here.
Warner's ninth Test ton matched legendary Australian keeper Adam Gilchrist's purple patch in 2005 against Pakistan and New Zealand. Iconic Bradman collected a triumvirate of centuries against India in 1948.
It took an absolute jaffa from Shah that turned square from outside off stump to remove Warner with the third ball after lunch. Mitchell Johnson (37) also displayed resistance against a Pakistan side with its tail up.
Pakistan is hungry - last winning a Test in January against Sri Lanka at Sharjah and previously vanquishing Australia in 2010.

Australia had wanted to show its wares against spin and reverse swing in Asia, where it has won one of 13 Tests since 2008. Instead, an inability to deal with and exploit foreign conditions consumed Australia in the field then at the crease.
Australia has a subcontinent-style pitch in Brisbane and imported Muttiah Muralitharan as a consultant but is still struggling on disconcerting low, slow pitches. Shah and Zulfiqar Babar (2-81) used the flight and rough to good effect.
Warner's jubliation at reaching the milestone with a boundary off Imran Khan (1-41) -accompanied by trademark jump and kiss of the helmet – was soon dampened.

Opener Chris Rogers (38), No.3 Alex Doolan (5), skipper Michael Clarke (2) and Steve Smith (22) all departed in a morning session collapse of 4-78. Smith, an assured force against spin, was at ease in a 48-run stand with Warner before gliding a sitter to Mohammad Hafeez off Shah.
Australia had become bogged down against an unheralded attack missing its primary wicket-taker Saeed Ajmal - the lower order stood little chance against Pakistan's second string spinners.
Clarke's exit caused most concern. Australia's best player of spin was lacking match practice on return from the hamstring strained against Zimbabwe on August 31.
Australia needed a captain's knock and someone to bat time but Clarke fell popping a bat pad chance to Rahat Ali off Babar short leg.

Wicketkeeper Brad Haddin (22) failed to replicated his Ashes heroics and hit Australia out of trouble while debutant Mitch Marsh (27) was well deceived by Babar.
Warner had scored 134 and 145 to set up Australia's dramatic 245-run win at Cape Town last March and secure a 2-1 series triumph. The exhilarating left-hander now has six tons and 1199 runs at 74 over nine Tests though the last year, challenging South African AB de Villiers for the title of the world's premier batsman.
"I think you need to be (aggressive). If you get bogged down against the spinners you can't really score against the quicks because they're bowling good areas especially when it starts to reverse and they set straight fields," said Warner.
