BALI Nine drug courier Scott Rush has been photographed apparently abusing drugs behind bars, despite claiming in recent months to be clean.
The photographs - allegedly taken at Kerobokan jail in January - show the 28-year-old with drug paraphernalia in his hands.
A source said he was smoking "crack" cocaine despite only narrowly avoiding a death sentence by firing squad for smuggling drugs.
The pictures have emerged just weeks after Rush, who is serving a life sentence for his role in the 2005 drug trafficking ring, declared he had been free from drugs for a while and announced his plans to marry London banker Nikki Butler.

In June, Rush said he had long battled the temptation of drugs behind bars but had cleaned up his act and wanted to become an anti-drugs campaigner.
The new pictures could cause friction between Rush and his new fiancee.
Ms Butler, who is 10 years older than her jailbird partner, said in June: "I am not marrying him if he is doing any drugs."
The Herald Sun has been told Rush would indulge in late-night parties involving drug taking.
A source said: "He has been telling people he has been clean of drugs for ages and that just isn't true.
"They have drug parties in there every night in the cells and he is always involved."
The source, who asked not to be named, said it was common knowledge in the prison that Rush was a drug taker.
"He is always doing drugs in there. I just don't see the point in lying about it and saying he is clean," the source said.

"Rush was moved in February this year because he was getting beaten up and getting some serious threats over a drug debt of about $5000.
"He asked for the transfer from Kerobokan because of the drug debt. He had a lot of his belongings taken from him over that debt.
"Rush uses meth, heroin and cocaine — but he never smokes marijuana.
"Even though they are in jail, they can get whatever they want in there.
"It's like a supermarket."
Rush was 19 when he was arrested, one of four couriers caught at Bali airport with 8.2kg of heroin strapped to their bodies and ready to board a flight from Bali to Sydney.
