IF YOU'VE never hesitated to ask a mate to look after your pet while you're on holiday, you might think twice after seeing this video.
Jamie and Emily Pharro had just enjoyed a romantic week-long honeymoon in Lake Garda, Italy. Little did the blissed-out newlyweds realise what would be waiting for them upon their return.
Friends of the British couple had decided to play a prank on them involving post-it notes. Well, 14,000 post-it notes to be precise.
What's more, the friends, who were cat-sitting, had even set up a camera to capture the couple's reaction and posted the footage to YouTube, the UK's Mirror reported.
It shows their shock as they walk inside to see almost every part of their home — including their furniture and television, and even the floor — covered in post-its. The kitchen cupboards, washing machine and cards left on a shelf were also plastered in the notes.
The pair laugh and Emily, a teacher, peels off one of the notes from her shoe, joking about how much the prank must have cost.
It took them two-and-a-half hours to remove all the notes, but Emily says it was a great trick.
"To be honest we quite expected to come home to something — our friends have a bit of a track record for this kind of thing," Emily said. "Some other friends got married secretly last year and their living room was filled with balloons as a surprise on their return.
" ... It was just a bit of harmless fun, but I don't think any of our other friends will want to get married now."
Their mates had spent eight hours coming up with the project.
