THE Kremlin has shown what it really thinks about how tough Barack Obama is posting a picture of him with a poodle next to one of Vladimir Putin with a leopard.
Russia's deputy prime minister Dmitry Rogozin tweeted the picture of the pair stating that "we all have different values and allies."
It isn't the first time Russia has sought to show how tough President Putin is. Over the years he has been pictured embracing a polar bear, hang-gliding with birds and shirtless on horseback.

AT LAST: MH17 SEARCH UNDERWAY
Tensions have escalated between the US and Russia after pro-Russian rebels in the Ukraine shot down Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 out of the sky, killing 298 people.
"We've seen that there were heavy weapons moved from Russia to Ukraine, that they have moved into the hands of separatist leaders," said White House spokesman Josh Earnest. "And according to social media reports, those weapons include the SA-11 [Buk missile] system."

The US, along with the European Union, has issued tougher sanctions against Russia, that targets its oil industry, defence, banking, dual-use goods and sensitive technologies.
Kremlin officials have suggested that the United States has created fake evidence to implicate pro-Russian separatists in the shooting of Malaysia Airline Flight 17.

Russia's ambassador to Britain, Alexander Yakovenko, said the US has no real evidence that Russia was involved in shooting down MH17 or suppling weapons to separatists.
"Russia doesn't supply weapons to local de facto (separatist) authorities in eastern Ukraine ... no evidence whatsoever has been presented that the Russian government has been doing this."
