IT SEEMS almost too private to be true, but reports are swirling in the US that Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are already married. According to Life & Style Weekly , the two reportedly obtained a marriage license in California sometime last week and are now officially hitched.

A source close to the couple has told the magazine that the high profile couple are officially Mr and Mrs West.

"Kim and Kanye are now married on paper. They got their license in California over the past few days," the source said. "Kim and North are on their way to New York now."

Last Tuesday, TMZ reported Kardashian and West would be married privately this week by obtaining a "confidential" marriage license.

"People are probably assuming we're going to have this massive wedding, and I think it will be — but intimate," Kardashian told Vogue. "Two hundred people — just all of our closest friends — a special night for us and all the people that really love us and that have supported us."

While details of the upcoming wedding celebration remain, yes, private, Kardashian has reportedly picked out her wedding dress and will have "multiple costume changes" from major designers including Givenchy, Balmain and Lanvin.

Kardashian and West are expected to attend the Met Gala in New York tonight, the biggest fashion event of the season. Look out for a ring!
