THE biological father of alleged murder victim Kiesha Weippeart has been found dead at his western Sydney home.

A relative of Chris Weippeart, 29, found his body on a mattress in their home in Tregear, near Penrith, about 8.15am Wednesday.

A NSW Police spokeswoman said investigators were not treating Mr Weippeart's death as suspicious.

She said police will prepare a report for the coroner and a post mortem investigation will review Mr Weippeart's medical history.

Kiesha's mother Kristi Anne Abrahams and stepfather Robert Smith were charged with the six-year-old's murder in April 2011 - the same day her remains were found in bushland in Shalvey in Sydney's west.

Abraham is due to stand trial from June 17, 2013, accused of Kiesha's murder.

Smith, 32, pleaded guilty last December to unlawfully killing Kiesha on or about July 13 last year at Mt Druitt.
